Ark Energy seeks an ambitious, and resourceful Electrical, Computer and Communications engineer to join our growing Digitalization of Energy Management Practice with experience of 3+ years in ITOT integration, data analytics, digitalization, digital transformation, client management experience and coding (would be a great plus)
Core Responsibilities
ITOT integration: involves (but not limited to) all matters related to data-linking, gateway setup, networking, and connecting our cloud-based platform (www.arkEMIS.io) along with our Gateway (arkCONNECT) to the Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA or directly to the IoT sensors at our Client's sites (working remotely with the site team or on-site)
Automation and Controls: configuring the data-points acquired from the BMS, SCADA or IoT sensors with our digital platforms in close collaboration with our Energy Efficiency consulting team to enable the advanced data analytics on the platform
Troubleshoot data connectivity issues with BACnet, Modbus, M-bus and our Gateway to ensure the smooth flow of data to arkEMIS platform
Developing modules as required by the Client to be added to the arkEMIS platform
Collaborating with our Digitalization and Energy Efficiency consultants to configure and adjust arkEMIS, arkUM, CarbonHub platforms to fully enable its advanced analytics
Coordinating with the back-end engineers to ensure the data flows from the Client's site to the cloud through API and via our universal Gateway (arkCONNECT console) or directly to arkEMIS
Coordinating with the Client’s O&M or FM teams to troubleshoot data streaming
Supporting the Energy Consultants to develop additional analytical modules (coding language can be determined later) to support use cases for the Client
Identifying and evaluating potential sensors for integration into the startup project
Analyzing sensor specifications to ensure compatibility with the project's requirements
Collaborating with stakeholders to select the most suitable sensors based on performance, cost, and scalability
Test and validate the accessibility of sensor data, ensuring smooth communication with the platform through appropriate protocols (e.g., API, MQTT, etc.)
Collaborate with developers and UX/UI designers to integrate sensor functionalities and define features that improve user experience and meet project goals
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in ECE or EE, or a related field from a reputable university
2-5 years of experience in automation, controls, ITOT integration, APIs, IoT sensors integration, data linking troubleshooting etc
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present technical information to diverse clients
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Familiarity with energy management systems, building automation systems, and energy modelling software is a plus.
Excellent skills in building PowerPoint presentation, Excel, and other quantitative analysis software (energy modelling is a plus)
Coding languages: Power BI / Tableau, Python (big plus), C++
Time management: As value-consultants, our clients expect us to execute work professionally and on time. Working hours will vary based on deadlines and the firm’s requirements at client sites or in our offices in Beirut, or anywhere else depending on the type of project
Candidate has to be able to operate under pressure incl. working during weekends and holidays. Time management is paramount
Languages: perfect English (writing/speaking), Arabic (writing/speaking), French is a plus

Working Conditions
For candidates located in Beirut, mainly in head office in Beirut (Antellias, A-Tower)
