Our AI Innovation and Process Automation division is seeking an AI developer, who is passionate about building practical AI tools and applications. In this role, you will work closely with consultants, data specialists, and business teams to design and develop AI-driven solutions that improve efficiency, automation, and analytics across Ark Energy.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 0 to 3 years of relevant experience who wants to grow in applied AI development within the energy management sector.
Core Responsibilities
Develop AI-powered tools, assistants, and internal applications using LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Google Gemini, DeepSeek) and no-code/low-code platforms
Build and integrate machine learning models into real-world workflows
Contribute to building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions that combine LLMs with company knowledge sources
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
Support deployment of AI models and tools into production environments
Improve existing AI pipelines, APIs, and digital platformsbuild automation workflows connecting AI tools to business systems (Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot Studio, n8n)
Stay current with emerging AI technologies and best practices
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Masters degree in engineering (Software, Computer, Mechanical, or Electrical) or Computer Science, with 0–3 years of professional experience in AI development
Strong programming skills in Python
Familiarity with AI/ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers
Hands-on exposure to LLM APIs and platforms including Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT-4o, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, and/or Mistral
Prompt engineering skills including system prompt design, few-shot prompting, chain-of-thought reasoning, and tool/function calling with LLM APIs
Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, and semantic search
Basic understanding of ML concepts, data preprocessing, and feature engineering
Understanding of Git and collaborative development workflow
Familiarity with AI automation platforms (Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, n8n, Zapier) for end-to-end workflows
Understanding of agentic AI: multi-step reasoning, tool/function calling, memory, and multi-agent orchestration
Fluent English (written and spoken); Arabic (written and spoken); French is a plus
Preferred Skills (Nice to have)
Interest in energy, sustainability, or industrial digital transformation
Building chatbots/agents with Microsoft Copilot Studio, OpenAI Assistants, or the Anthropic Claude API
AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph) for LLM-powered pipelines and agents
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Familiarity with MLOps tools and deployment practices
Vector databases (Pinecone, ChromaDB, FAISS, Qdrant) for semantic search and RAG
Exposure to open-source/self-hosted LLMs (DeepSeek, Mistral, LLaMA) and developer tools (Anthropic Console, OpenAI Playground, Azure AI Studio)

Working Conditions
Based at head office in Beirut (Antellias, A-Tower)
May be required to travel for site visits if deployed on a consulting project (project-based)
Working hours: 45+ hours per week with 30 minutes’ lunch break (get the job done in less)
